Author. Poet. Overthinker.

I'm Munna (Muh-nuh) Abdelhady—a first-generation college graduate, published poet, writer, mentor, and entrepreneur who has spent much of her life trying to make sense of the very thing we're all expected to understand: adulthood.

My relationship with writing began long before I had a career, a degree, or a business plan. In 2020, my poem [Black Girl Magic](https://www.thearcadiaonline.com/the-poetry-corner-black-girl-magic-from-the-sun-still-rises-by-munna-abdelhady/) was published in Arcadia, marking an early milestone in what would become a lifelong commitment to storytelling, self-expression, and examining the human experience.

I later graduated from Saint Leo University, earning Dean's List honors while exploring the intersection of law, society, and human behavior. During college, I created and hosted Disputable Digest, a podcast that brought students and influencers together for candid conversations about culture, controversy, and the complexities of young adulthood.

Since then, my career has taken me through sales, real estate, entrepreneurship, mentorship, and business development. I've helped entrepreneurs bring ideas to life, supported individuals navigating personal and professional transitions, and collaborated with a University of South Florida professor to develop an elective course examining women's history and the practice of self-love.

But somewhere between chasing ambition, collecting accomplishments, making mistakes, and trying to become the woman I envisioned, I realized something: having a résumé full of achievements doesn't mean you have life figured out.

That realization sits at the heart of my book, Mom, I Have No Clue What I'm Doing — An Overthinker's Confessional.

Through poetry, I explore the contradictions of becoming an adult: wanting independence but craving reassurance, pursuing success while questioning its meaning, navigating love, confronting insecurity, and discovering that growth is rarely as graceful as we imagined.

This is not a guide. It's a confession.

Today, through The Writer's Corner, I continue exploring ambition, identity, relationships, society, and the uncomfortable truths we often avoid saying aloud. My writing isn't rooted in having all the answers. It's rooted in having the courage to ask better questions.

I don't write from a place of perfection. I write from experience, observation, contradiction, and the understanding that sometimes the most meaningful thing we can offer another person is the reminder that they aren't the only one figuring it out.

Because perhaps the point of adulthood was never to have it all figured out. Perhaps it was learning how to live while we don't.
